2023 MTV Europe Music Awards
The 2023 MTV Europe Music Awards were planned for November 5 in Paris, France, at Paris Nord Villepinte. Paris hosted the EMAs for the first time since 1995. Nominees were announced in early October, led by Taylor Swift with seven nominations, followed by Olivia Rodrigo and SZA with six, and Doja Cat, Måneskin, Miley Cyrus and Nicki Minaj with four each. On October 19, the ceremony was canceled due to the Gaza war and high security in France—the first EMA cancellation ever. Voting stayed open until October 31, and the winners were announced on November 5. Taylor Swift won the most awards with three; Nicki Minaj and Jungkook each won two.
