2023 Andy's Frozen Custard 300
The 2023 Andy's Frozen Custard 300 was the 28th race of the NASCAR Xfinity Series and the second event in the Round of 12. It took place on September 23, 2023 at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth. The 1.5-mile oval hosted 200 laps (300 miles).
Justin Allgaier earned the pole for JR Motorsports with a lap of 29.188 seconds (185.008 mph) and led a race-high 133 laps, including both Stage 1 and Stage 2. In a dramatic finish, John Hunter Nemechek, driving for Joe Gibbs Racing, passed Parker Kligerman and Allgaier with under ten laps to go to win his 10th Xfinity Series race and seventh of the season, and he advanced to the next round of the playoffs. Kligerman finished second and Sammy Smith third.
Stage lengths were 65 laps for Stage 1, 65 laps for Stage 2, and 70 laps for Stage 3. In morning practice, Allgaier was fastest with a 29.678-second lap (181.953 mph), and qualifying for the pole was a single-car, one-lap run, with Allgaier again posting the fastest time. The race was broadcast on USA Network, with announcers Rick Allen, Jeff Burton, Steve Letarte, and Dale Earnhardt Jr., and radio coverage by PRN.
