2022–23 Japan Rugby League One – Division 1: a short version
The 2022–23 season was the 20th top-flight season of Japan’s rugby league, now called Japan Rugby League One. It ran from 17 December 2022 to 20 May 2023 and had 12 teams.
Promotions and relegation
- Promoted to Division 1: Sagamihara DynaBoars and Hanazono Liners
- Relegated to Division 2: Green Rockets Tokatsu
Format
- Two conferences (A and B)
- Each team played 16 regular-season games: home and away against teams in its conference, plus six matches (three home, three away) against teams from the other conference
- The top four teams entered knockout playoffs
- Relegation playoffs were held 5–14 May 2023
