2019–20 KAA Gent season

K.A.A. Gent's 2019–20 season was their 117th in existence and 31st in a row in Belgium's top division. The season ran from 1 July 2019 to 30 June 2020. The club was chaired by Ivan De Witte, managed by Jess Thorup, and played home games at the Ghelamco Arena.

Gent competed in three competitions. In the Belgian First Division A, they finished 2nd. In the Belgian Cup, they reached the seventh round. In the UEFA Europa League, they advanced to the Round of 32.

Jonathan David was the club's top scorer, with 18 league goals and 23 in all competitions.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the league proposed cancelling the season on 2 April 2020. The proposal was approved on 15 May, and the season was officially ended.
