2004 Western & Southern Financial Group Masters
The 2004 Cincinnati Masters, officially called the Western & Southern Financial Group Masters (and Western & Southern Financial Group Women’s Open for sponsorship), was the 103rd edition of the tournament. It was played on outdoor hard courts at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio, United States. The men’s event ran August 2–8 and the women’s event ran August 16–22, marking the first time since 1989 that Cincinnati hosted both men’s and women’s draws.
Champions:
- Men’s singles: Andre Agassi, who defeated Lleyton Hewitt 6-3, 3-6, 6-2
- Women’s singles: Lindsay Davenport, who defeated Vera Zvonareva 6-3, 6-2
- Men’s doubles: Mark Knowles / Daniel Nestor, who defeated Jonas Björkman / Todd Woodbridge 6-2, 3-6, 6-3
- Women’s doubles: Jill Craybas / Marlene Weingärtner, who defeated Emmanuelle Gagliardi / Anna-Lena Grönefeld 7-5, 7-6(7-2)
The event was part of the ATP Masters Series on the men’s tour and the WTA Tier III on the women’s tour.
