2003 COSAFA Cup: Zimbabwe won the title (their second), with Malawi finishing as runners-up. Twelve teams competed from one confederation. A total of 12 matches were played and 25 goals were scored (about 2.08 per match). In the format, winners of the first round advanced to the quarter-finals. The four quarter-finalists from 2002—South Africa, Malawi, Swaziland, and Zambia—received byes into the quarter-finals.
