The 1970 Cork Senior Hurling Championship was the 82nd edition of Cork’s top hurling competition. It ran from 19 April to 22 November 1970 and featured 16 teams.

Defending champions Glen Rovers were knocked out by University College Cork (UCC) in the quarter-finals.

The final, the first ever meeting of UCC and Muskerry in a final, was played on 22 November 1970 at the Athletic Grounds in Cork. UCC won 2-12 to 0-15 to claim their second championship title, and their first in seven years. UCC’s captain was Mick McCarthy, and Muskerry’s captain was Derry McSweeney.
