West Angeles Church of God in Christ is a Pentecostal megachurch in the West Adams area of Los Angeles, California. It is part of the Church of God in Christ and draws about 24,000 attendees each week. The church was founded in 1943 by Elder Clarence E. Church. The first sanctuary was on Adams Boulevard near the Santa Monica Freeway. After Church’s death in 1969, Charles E. Blake became pastor. A new building opened in 1981 at 3045 Crenshaw Boulevard with a 1,000-seat sanctuary, and in 1999 a larger building with a 5,000-seat auditorium was added at 3600 Crenshaw Boulevard. Under Blake, the church grew from about 40 members to more than 24,000. In 2019, they sold the 3045 Crenshaw property to fund a Family Life Center behind the 3600 Crenshaw site. In 2022, Charles Blake II became the senior pastor.
