Weekend Edition (Australian TV program)
Weekend Edition is an Australian weekend news and current affairs program on Sky News Live. It airs on Saturdays and Sundays as Sky News’ breakfast show, running from 7:00am to 10:00am (AEST on Saturdays). It began on 9 July 2016 and replaced much of Sky News’ morning programming from First Edition.
Saturday Edition is hosted by Greg Thomson and Jaynie Seal. In 2016, Seal handled news updates and Jim Callinan presented sport. In 2017, Caroline Marcus joined as a co-host and Thomson became the sport presenter; Seal left. From 4 March 2017, Thomson and Seal were the main anchors, with Murray and Marcus exiting.
Sunday Edition is hosted by Peter van Onselen and runs 7:00am to 10:00am on Sundays, with a 8:30am Sunday Agenda segment. In 2017 Kristina Keneally joined as a co-host and also co-hosted To The Point. Sunday Edition is a 60-minute program leading into Speers on Sunday.
