Ugly River
Ugly River is a river on New Zealand’s South Island, in the West Coast region. It starts near Amohia Peak and flows south for about 21 kilometres, entirely inside Kahurangi National Park. It joins the Karamea River about 17 kilometres northeast of Karamea. Its tributaries are Domett Creek and McNabb Creek from the left, and Harley Creek and Rubble Creek from the right. Water from the Ugly River eventually reaches the Karamea River, then Ōtūmahana Estuary, the Karamea Bight, and finally the Tasman Sea.
