Streptomyces herbaceus is a bacterium in the genus Streptomyces. It belongs to the domain Bacteria, kingdom Bacillati, phylum Actinomycetota, class Actinomycetes, order Streptomycetales, and family Streptomycetaceae. The species name is Streptomyces herbaceus (S. herbaceus), described by Kim and colleagues in 2012. Its type strains are CGMCC 4.5797, KACC 21001, and BK119. This bacterium was isolated from soil in a hay meadow at the Cockle Park Experimental Farm in Northumberland, United Kingdom.
