Start All Over is a song by American singer Miley Cyrus from her debut album Meet Miley Cyrus (2007). It was written by Fefe Dobson and Anne Preven, produced by Annetenna, and was originally recorded by Dobson for her unreleased project Sunday Love before she gave the song to Cyrus. Cyrus’ version was released as the second single in Australia on February 18, 2008 (with a wider release on March 11, 2008).

The music video, directed by Marc Webb, features a surreal, carnival-like dream sequence with lots of background dancers. It was filmed in Los Angeles on November 16, 2007. The song is an uptempo rock track about getting a second chance in a relationship, set at 150 beats per minute in the key of G major. Cyrus’s vocal range on the track spans from G3 to B4, and the chord progression includes Dm7–Am–G5.

Chart performance was modest: the song reached number 41 in Australia, number 91 in Canada, and number 68 on the US charts. It was certified Gold by the RIAA for shipments of over 500,000 copies. A live version appears on the Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert release.

Cyrus performed Start All Over on the Best of Both Worlds Tour as the opening number for the herself segment, and also included it in the 2009 Wonder World Tour. It was performed during Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve special in 2007/2008, and a promotional video from the live performances was released for the film Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert. Fefe Dobson, who contributed background vocals to Cyrus’s version, later commented that Cyrus did a great job with the song.
