Silmar Silva da Silva, known as Silmar, was a Brazilian footballer who played as a right back. He was born on December 10, 1958, in São Borja, Brazil, and died on July 28, 1993, in Gurupi, Brazil, at age 34.

He rose to prominence with São Borja and later joined Grêmio, where he was part of the 1983 Copa Libertadores winning team. That year he also played for Palmeiras. He later played for Náutico and Joinville, winning state championships with those clubs. Silmar retired from football in 1991.

His career also included time with several other clubs: 1978–1981 São Borja, 1981–1983 Grêmio, 1983 Palmeiras, 1984 Náutico, 1985 Joinville, 1986 Operário-MS, 1987 Próspera, 1988–1989 Ferroviário, 1990 Tiradentes-CE, and 1991 Vitória.
