Shimizu, Wakayama
Shimizu (Shimizu-chō) was a town in Arida District, Wakayama Prefecture, Japan. In 2003, it had an estimated population of 4,961 and a population density of 25.32 people per square kilometer. The town covered 195.96 square kilometers. On January 1, 2006, Shimizu merged with the towns of Kanaya and Kibi (also in Arida District) to form the new town of Aridagawa.
