Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017)
Samsung Galaxy J5 (2017) is a mid-range Android smartphone from Samsung, released in July 2017 as the successor to the J5 (2016). It has a 5.2-inch 720p Super AMOLED display, an Exynos 7870 octa-core processor at 1.6 GHz, and 2 GB of RAM (3 GB in the J5 Pro version sold in Malaysia). Storage options are 16 GB or 32 GB, expandable with a microSD card up to 256 GB. The phone features a non-removable 3000 mAh battery, a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash, and a 13 MP front camera. It supports dual SIM on some models, 4G LTE with VoLTE, dual-band Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, and USB 3.0 Micro-B, plus a 3.5 mm headphone jack. NFC is available on select variants, and some models include a fingerprint sensor and Samsung Pay. It runs Android 7.0 Nougat with Samsung Experience and can be upgraded to Android 9 Pie with One UI 1.1. The J5 (2017) is known for its metal design and was followed by newer Samsung mid-range models like the Galaxy J6.
