Pajieslys
Pajieslys is a small village in central Lithuania, in Kaunas County, part of the Kėdainiai district municipality and Krakės Eldership. In 2011, 254 people lived there. It is about 8 kilometers from Krakės, next to the Jiesla river near where it joins the Šušvė. The village has a wooden Catholic church of St. Mary (built in 1913), a library, and a school. The nearby Pajieslys Geomorphological Sanctuary is a local point of interest, and there is an active ISKCON community. The first church was built in 1857. Until the Soviet era, Pajieslys had a manor; afterward the settlement became a kolkhoz and the center of the selsovet from 1950 to 1988.
