Longtail croaker
The longtail croaker (Lonchurus lanceolatus) is a marine fish in the croaker family, Sciaenidae. It lives in the western Atlantic Ocean and is a ray-finned fish (Actinopterygii). The species was first described by Bloch in 1788. Synonyms include Perca lanceolata Bloch, 1788 and Lonchurus barbatus Bloch, 1793. Its conservation status is Least Concern (IUCN 3.1).
