Kevin William Cairns (29 June 1937 – 11 September 2017) was an English footballer who played as a left back. He was born in Preston, England, and died in Lostock Hall, Lancashire. He stood 5 ft 7 in tall.

Early career and youth
As a youngster he was with Preston North End and was briefly connected with Blackburn Rovers. He also played non-league football for Weymouth and Carshalton Athletic. During his National Service, he played in an Army match with Ron Yeats, who recommended him to Dundee United.

Professional career
Cairns signed for Dundee United in September 1960 and made his debut that month against St Johnstone. He became a first-team regular in his first season but appeared only once in 1961–62 and left the club in May 1962. He then joined Southport in August 1962, where he made 206 Football League appearances and scored one goal over six years. After Southport, he played for Wigan Athletic in 1968–69, making nine appearances, and later played non-league football.
