Kassaro is a village and rural commune in Kita Cercle, Kayes Region, southwestern Mali. The commune covers 1,076 square kilometers and includes 18 villages. In the 2009 census, Kassaro had 18,442 residents, giving a population density of about 17 people per square kilometer. The area is in the GMT time zone (UTC+0). Coordinates: 12.95444°N, 8.88111°W.
