James Emmett "Red" McManamon (March 1, 1905 – August 5, 1954) was the 33rd Attorney General of Indiana, serving from January 10, 1949, to January 12, 1953, under Governor Henry F. Schricker. Born in Indianapolis, he graduated from Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 1934 and later worked as a judge at the Speedway Magistrate Court and as director of the Indiana Council of Fraternal and Social Societies. A Democrat, he was elected attorney general in 1948, succeeding Cleon H. Foust, but he lost re-election to Edwin K. Steers in 1952. McManamon died of a heart attack in a taxi in Indianapolis at age 49.
