Halyini
Halyini is a tribe of stink bugs in the family Pentatomidae. The group has long been described as a “dumping ground” for many genera, with some later moved to other tribes as scientists revise classification.
Diversity and classification
- Traditional sources like BugGuide, ITIS, and the Encyclopedia of Life note at least one genus and around 20 described species within Halyini.
- More recent work, including revisions presented in 2018, indicate that multiple genera belong to Halyini.

Taxonomy note
- Halyini is in the subfamily Pentatominae of the order Hemiptera (true bugs). Its exact composition has changed over time as new research revises which genera belong here.
