Hajdúszoboszló District
Hajdúszoboszló District is in western Hajdú-Bihar County, Hungary. The district seat is the town of Hajdúszoboszló. It lies in the Northern Great Plain statistical region and is part of the historic Hajdúság area.
The district borders Balmazújváros District to the north, Debrecen District and Derecske District to the east, Püspökladány District to the south, and Karcag District (in Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok County) to the west.

Population and density: 43,061 people (2011 census), with a population density of about 55–59 people per square kilometer.
Ethnicity (2011 census): The majority identify as Hungarians. Minorities include Roma (about 650), Germans (about 300), and Romanians (about 100). About 5,000 people did not declare their ethnicity.
