Coptocercus crucigerus is a species of long-horned beetle in the Cerambycidae family. It was first described in 1842 by Frederick William Hope as Stenochorus cruciger, from a specimen found in Port Essington near Darwin. In 1929, Herbert James Carter placed it in the genus Coptocercus and also treated Phoracantha polita as the same species. The beetle is native to Australia, found in the Northern Territory, Queensland and New South Wales, with some sources also listing Western Australia and Papua New Guinea. Synonyms include Stenochorus cruciger Hope, 1842 and Phoracantha polita Pascoe, 1863.
