Chilocorus subindicus is a small lady beetle found in India, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives. It is about 2.7 to 3.8 mm long, with a nearly circular body. The elytra are dark, ranging from pitchy to almost black, and the pronotum is dark in the center but pale yellowish-brown toward the sides. The head and underside are yellowish-brown, and the head has fine hairs. It feeds on pests such as aphids and scale insects, including Aspidiotus destructor, Parasaissetia nigra, Saissetia species, and whiteflies Aleurocanthus arecae and Aleurodicus dispersus. It resembles Chilocorus nigritus.
