Cabinet of South Sudan
The Cabinet of South Sudan is the executive branch of the Government. Cabinet members are appointed by the President and report to the President. Since February 22, 2020, South Sudan has been governed by a Revitalized Transitional Government of National Unity (RTGoNU) with a cabinet of 35 ministers. The Revitalized Agreement on the Resolution of the Conflict in the Republic of South Sudan (R-ARCSS) sets how ministers are chosen: 20 from SPLM, 9 from SPLM-IO, 3 from the South Sudan Opposition Alliance (SSOA), 2 from former detainees, and 1 from other parties. The RTGoNU, with 35 ministers and 10 deputy ministers, was appointed on March 12, 2020. The cabinet was reshuffled on February 10, 2025.
