Brandhärd is a Swiss hip hop group from Basel-Country. They are best known in the German-speaking part of Switzerland. The three friends Johny Holiday, Fetch and Fierce started Brandhärd in 1997, and by 1999 they were already performing to large crowds. Their first demo tape, Hip-Hop für d'Aiightgnossäschaft, was released in 2000. In 2005 they released the album Zeiche setze, which reached No. 13 on the Swiss charts. In 2007 they put out an album with Cameroonian rapper Mamoney called Même Sang (Same Blood). On September 11, 2015 they released Zuckerbrot & Peitsche, their highest-charting album to date. In 2018 they released a best-of album, 1997, to celebrate 20 years as a group.
