Aubrey Dennis (27 May 1929 – 18 May 2010) was a South African cricketer born in Benoni, Transvaal. He was a left-handed batsman who played for North-Eastern Transvaal from 1950 to 1955. In 17 first-class matches, he scored 780 runs at an average of 26.89, including two centuries, with a top score of 138. Usually batting at number three, Dennis had notable innings such as 100 not out against the touring New Zealanders in 1953-54, a patient century that helped set a target for the visitors, and 138 in the final match of the 1954-55 season against Griqualand West, which North-Eastern Transvaal won. He also played for Northern Rhodesia in 1957-58 in a two-day match against the touring Australians. Dennis passed away in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa, in 2010 at age 80.
