ARX (company)
ARX (Algorithmic Research Ltd.) is a digital security company based in San Francisco, with offices in the UK, the Netherlands, Australia and Israel. It created ARX CoSign, a digital signature technology and related security products. ARX was acquired by DocuSign in May 2015. CoSign signatures use public key infrastructure (PKI) to create a unique cryptographic fingerprint that proves signer identity, protects data integrity, and provides non-repudiation of signed documents; verification does not require proprietary software. CoSign integrates with many document management and workflow systems. ARX’s solutions have been validated to security standards such as NIST FIPS 140-2 level 3, FIPS 186, and ETSI TS 101 733. In August 2014, CoSign earned Common Criteria EAL4+ certification, making it the first remote/server-side digital signature solution fully compliant with the EU eIDAS regulation. ARX was founded in 1987 by Prof. Amos Fiat and Yossi Tulpan, initially focusing on encryption products. It was acquired by Cylink in September 1997, underwent a management buyout in 2001 led by Dr. Gadi Aharoni, and was acquired by DocuSign in 2015.
