Nemophora amatella
Nemophora amatella is a small moth in the Adelidae family. Classification: Kingdom Animalia; Phylum Arthropoda; Class Insecta; Order Lepidoptera; Family Adelidae; Genus Nemophora; Species N. amatella.
It is a trans-Palearctic species, found across Asia (Siberia, Korea, Japan) and in northern Europe.
The wingspan is about 17–24 mm.
Adults are on the wing in June and July in northern Europe.
It was first described by Staudinger in 1892. Over the years it has had several other scientific names, now all consolidated under Nemophora amatella.
