Levnesovia
Levnesovia is a genus of hadrosauroid dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous (Turonian) of Uzbekistan. It lived in what is now the Bissekty Formation and was related to Bactrosaurus. The only named species is Levnesovia transoxiana. The genus name honors the late Russian paleontologist Lev Nessov, and the species name refers to the ancient region Transoxiana. Fossils found so far include partial skulls, parts of the upper jaw (maxillae and dentaries), and many other bones from the skeleton. Levnesovia was described by Sues and Averianov in 2009.
